Vice President - Asset Man & Engineering

Outstanding growth and impact opportunity for established or upcoming engineering executive talent. Responsible for all electrical, SCADA, civil, structural, geotechnical, mechanical and environmental engineering functions including energy production and asset management as well as management of all permanent record design drawings, permits and related documents to ensure safe, reliable and cost effective construction and delivery of client's  North American Solar PV Facilities.


  • Direct the development of applicable engineering standards and specifications for use on all Solar PV projects.
  • Direct the review, approval and technical oversight of all engineering scope, design criteria and design documents as well as engineering and technical support of equipment procurement for all Solar PV projects.
  • Direct the interface function with Architect/Engineer Firms and Engineering Consultants that are retained to support projects and manage their activities to ensure consistent criteria, cost effective designs and timely delivery.
  • Direct and provide all engineering resources required for timely and cost effective resolution to engineering and technical related issues in support of Development, Construction and Operations.
  • Direct the timely and cost effective engineering support to the regulatory, environmental, permitting and interconnection processes for Solar PV Projects, as required.
  • Direct the development of energy production estimates necessary in support of Gate papers submittal and approval.
  • Develop and maintain a configuration management program that includes an archival policy for design and engineering drawings and documents for all Solar PV projects.
  • Recruit, select, coach, motivate and manage the Solar Engineering team in North America.


B.S. in Engineering from an ABET accredited school ten (10) year experience in the design application of engineering and/or construction concepts and practices applicable to electric power generation and related facilities including four (4) years Solar PV experience and two (2) years managing an engineering function.

Flexibility – Able to achieve a balance between technical constraints, project needs and costs when required, to meet overall goals and objectives. 

Interpersonal Skills – Good communication skills interacting with EC&R senior management team, contractors, and other functional groups. Must be a team player.

Technical/Functional Knowledge – Must have broad overall technical knowledge of engineering and construction processes and familiarity with codes, standards and applicable requirements of professional engineering.

Resource Management – Plan, organize and manage the engineering and technical functions to ensure the most effective use of available manpower and resources in fulfilling responsibilities. 

Team Building Skills – Effectively enlists leadership from all levels of the organization to achieve a common vision, goals and objectives in an effective and efficient manner.
